We recently purchased a new Polaroid PDV-0700 DVD player for our daughter to watch on road trips or when we fly. I would have to say overall that this purchase has been a dissapointment. The Polaroid DVD player is touchy as heck, almost any little bump will cause it to reset. Reset, you say? Yup, it doesn't skip or stop for a moment, it stops playing the movie. You have to restart the DVD, navigate your way through all the scenes until you finally get back to the point where you were watching. Oops, another bump. That's the good part. The bad part is that you can't even hear the speakers while wearing good quality headsets. On an airplane this thing is totally useless because the volume is so weak that it's just impossible to hear. Oops, just hit a little light turbulance and it shut itself off again anyway. Time to get a book out instead. I wouldn't give a Polaroid DVD player to my worst enemy.
